Carrying flaming torches and shouting slogans, college students on the Allahabad College took out a large protest on Thursday towards the latest charge hike, in addition to demanding the reinstatement of the scholars’ union.
A gaggle of scholars beneath the banner of ‘Chhatrasangh Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti’ have been protesting the charge hike in Allahabad College. The college has elevated the under-graduate charges by virtually 400 per cent, they are saying.
Eight days in the past, a number of the college students launched a starvation strike. Yesterday, two of the scholars, Manjit Patel and Rahul Saroj, had been admitted to the hospital after their well being worsened.
